How to ship a paintball gun in the mail

Though you can send a paintball gun in the mail, it can be canceled if you don’t pack it correctly. It is essential to pack the air gun in such a way that it cannot be identified as a gun from the outside, to avoid creating confusion. If you have the original box the paintball gun was in, packing is very simple. You just need to put it inside the box as it was and then place it inside another large box, seal it, and it’s ready to ship. But if you don’t have the original box, follow the below process.

  • First of all, remove all the ammunition or paints the paintball marker has inside.
  • Then disassemble the gun into as many parts as possible, like removing the barrel, fuel tank, and other removable parts. Make sure that the paintball tank is empty before you send it. It’s illegal to ship filled CO2 or HPA tanks.
  • Now, wrap each part of the gun separately with lots of wrapping paper, bubble wrap, or some other protective material like a t-shirt or towel.
  • Then select a large box that allows the parts to move but won’t be cramped. You can also use padding inside the box for better protection.
  • Next, Place the paintball gun-wrapped parts inside the box and seal it. Finally, label it with accurate information, and that’s all! The paintball gun is ready to be shipped safely; leave it at the post office.

Yes, you can ship a paintball air tank, but an empty one. It’s not legal in any country to ship a pressurized or CO2-filled air tank due to safety reasons. These air tanks can explode anytime in a plane or cargo, so they are dangerous and not allowed to ship filled.

Doing any trick, like packing a filled compressed air tank inside a box without mentioning it, could result in you getting into trouble. If the officers get suspicious, they will open and check. Sometimes they use an x-ray scanner and identify what’s inside the mail carriers without opening it.
